Our hand-raised Senegal Parrots for sale (Poicephalus senegalus) are healthy, social, and ready for loving homes. We currently have a small selection of babies aged 12 to 24 weeks. They display beautiful green feathers with yellow and orange ventral coloring. Each parrot is fully weaned, hand-tamed, and vet-checked before placement. Raised by hand from just two weeks old, these birds are confident, friendly, and comfortable around people.
Senegal Parrots are known for their intelligent and affectionate personalities. They bond closely with their owners and enjoy daily interaction. Compared to larger parrots, they are quieter and easier to care for, making them an excellent starter parrot. Many Senegals learn to talk and can develop a vocabulary of 50 to 100 words. They are playful, curious, and enjoy head scratches, though they are not overly clingy.
Each Senegal Parrot includes a health certificate, DNA sex certificate, care package, and feeding instructions. They do best in a home with a safe environment, time for daily interaction, and a proper diet of pellets and fresh produce. A cage size of at least 24” x 24” x 30” is recommended. Payment plans are available, and only Four babies are currently available, so early reservation is encouraged.
